Also consider just straight-chaining-it using a simple centrifugal clutch and sprocket, the simplest of all {practical} drives.

The Torq-A-Verter may beat the clutch off the starting line but the clutch drive will walk away from it in a top speed battle ...if you geared it right.

I think I’m going to use a small transmission with the torque converter if I can talk my dad into letting me buy it. What would you recommend the gearing be? I dont really want to change the current gear that comes with the transmission only the axle gear.

The gear on the transmission is a 10 tooth. I don’t know what the tire size will be since I don’t have a frame yet but probably whatever size a 50cc or 110cc chinese atv comes with, would have to guess 6 inch.

A Predator will eat that Tecumseh's lunch, dinner and dessert and still be hungry. If you've got $150 handy, boat anchor the Teckasheema and go to HF.
Not if it's a Tecumseh 2cycle (by the look of it, it is) built right that Predator 212 would starve to death trying to catch up.

I don't like 2 cycle, but I am experienced with them. When you get 4x the bang at 1/4 the weight penalty, and considering a built 2t can turn upwards of 12k and still make power... there's not a OHV kart motor with a snowflake's chance in hell of catching that squirrel.
