what to paint jon oat and trailer with?

Ok so I picked up a jon boat and trailer and they are both in need of a paint job. They are both rust free. What type of paint would I use? I want to be able to spray it on with a compressor and paint gun.

Get some etching primer. The good stuff, not the junk you can scrape off with your finger nail after letting it cure onto the aluminum surface... Brand wise, you'd have to research around.

I bought a gallon of jon boat paint from Cabella's for mine. Stuff's not cheap! No hardener required and apply with compressor and gun. I etched it with vinegar first.

In the end I feel I got took. Probably would have been just as good and a lot cheaper with Rustoleum and some hardener. It's holding up good though.
