Ok I just talked to a manco service store and they are trying to tell me that if I put a tav on this cart i will rip the axle off it. :mad2:
here are some pictures of what i have before i spend $150.00 or more converting over
Can I get feed back and opinions on if others have done this to a fixed axle kart.

5.5 tec powersport right? that wont rip your axle off at all...just grab yourself a TAV2. I replaced my 5.5 tec with a dirtbike engine once and had no problems with the axle bending.

sounds like the right tc but i think your going to interference issues with that jackshaft. i think you can eliminate it all together and go straight to the axle though if you can move the sprocket over. But if you do that it looks like your sproket is a #41 chain

ok not meaning to jack the thread or anything, but that is basically the same exact thing as my go kart but with out the roll cage, and my go kart doesn't have that double chain thing, [sorry i don't know the name for it], my chain goes from Centrifugal Clutch to the sprocket. my go kart has that same sketchy bolt as spacers thing going on going form hub to sprocket to brake. have you ever had a problem bending those nuts? my kart keeps bending them.

1) the area where the 2 chains come together in called a JACKSHAFT .
2) if you are bending the bolts then you have the chain way to tight. what size engine are you running?

i am running the same exact engine. and im running the chain at 3/8 in play like the manual says.

HMMM, not sure then because i had this engine on our old frame and did not have the jackshaft than just had it like you do and I never had any problem with the bolts and we ride very aggressive

nice kart

what's the size of these tires

thank you

145 X 70 X 6 2-Ply Tubeless Knobby Tires on the front and 15x5.00x6 snow hogs on the rear
but i wish I had went with 15x6.00x6 snow hogs on the back (I ordered the wrong ones) also found http://www.gokartgalaxy.com/6_&_7_atv_tires.htm these after i bought mine

but I really like the snow hogs as they grab and throw a TON of dirt around

hmm, i don't know then, oh well im getting a massive solid spacer so it will probably hold so it does not matter much.
how fast does that thing go on your kart?
