Hey guys,
Just thought I'd ask, can anybody recommend a specific tap to use on the hole from where the oil sensor was? It's on a predator 212 hemi and it's around 0.4in. in diameter. Would 7/16 x 14 be ok? 7/16 x 20? My gut says 7/16 x 20 but I know that they are much harder to find in the hardware store than the coarse thread bolts.
Thanks in advance,
Sir kartsalot

Not sure exactly.
But what I did was use the O ring off the Factory Hollow bolt and stuck a Bolt in the hole with a lock nut.
Nut on the outside of course.
If your Hardware store does not carry standard Fine and Course Bolts. Find a new hardware store.

I used 7/16-14 on my gx390. How are you planning on sealing the threads?

I actually managed to dig up a bolt that fit the hole perfectly. Just like changer recommended I recycled the stock I ring and called t off from the outside with an appropriate nut. Works great!

My initial plan was to tap the hole and seal it with a homemade gasket on the outside.

I do exactly the same thing and it's always worked great for me.
