I have this frame I’m using to turn into a cooler kart. It had a live 38in axle running through it. Would I just use a 38 again and run the same drum style brake? Forgot to take before pictures. The one with the engine is how it was set up70778274867__61F6D48F-CDC6-47B8-938C-EA0EF6F0B06A.jpeg

I'm probably wrong, but I think that kart looks like it might of had a....3/4"-axle.
Reason being I have a Carter Brothers kart and the rear end axle area looks similar, and it has a ...3/4" axle.
Like I said I might be wrong.
If it were me I would use a 1" axle.

It should be a 1 inch diameter axle then. Order a new 38" x 1" axle. Make sure there are keyways where you need

I measure it. It is 3/4. Is there any place that sells kits for 3/4 axle? Can’t seem to find anything online. Probably just have to buy parts separate?

Check the usual suspects, OMB warehouse, go power sports, BMI karts.

There is I'll get back with you with some websites.l know of other websites not mentioned here.
RCF-Micromini bikes....AZUSA-Parts....OMB-Warehouse....MFG-Supply....BMI-Karts&Parts They all sell the 3/4" kits and, or axles, and or bearings and such.
I got the bearings that fit that go-kart frame from BMI-parts. I.D. 3/4, you'll have to measure the outside dia. cause I forget. Anyway if you do so researching you should find what your looking for.
Also they should all have the same thing in a .... 1" dia.

Will post update pictures soon.
Can use bearing flange for a 5/8 spindle and a 3/4 wheel hub? Or am I better off just getting exact fit?
didn’t realize I bought 5/8 spindle and 3/4 hub

I think you're correct, Pearl. It looks like he'll need a 38-1/4" x 3/4" axle. Check #27 in the parts breakdown illustration.
