What kind of Motor?

my friend gave me this half complete go cart and i have no idea what kind it is. the only markings i could find on it were V161-164260 it is OHV and it says made in Japan. Thank You For Any Help.

Looks like a Briggs Animal or Intek.

Pics of starter/blower tin? All cases look pretty much the same.I can tell it isnt a honda/clone.

It's not a Honda, because it has the exhaust port facing down, and it's not a clone cause it's made in japan, And I seriously doubt that's a Briggs. Quite possibly a robin Subaru.

Thats not a flatty tank, look at the angles, its just a box muffler with a crimp in a familiar location.

it came withe the go cart when i got it. its a spark arrestor made by Suzuki.

My money is on Suzuki.
I've seen this identical feature on other Suzuki blocks, verticals as well. Isn't the serial number/model located there?
Might be real tough getting parts for this.

i went to check on the old muffler it came with and here's what is engraved on it. SUZUKI HS-5A
SPARK ARRESTER
SCREEN TYPE
I don't know if that helps any.
