:welcome2: To best answer your "how much" question, we would need to know where abouts you live. It comes down to supply/demand and personal opinion. Me, I would offer $150.....:2guns: If its a desired kart, I would not mention that.... If they mention it, then explain that in order for it to be worth a mint, it will need lots of work (that's read $$$$) to get it back to its former glory days. spout off prices of stuff that needs to be replaced. When heard out loud, most sellers tend to understand and will open the floor to negotiations..... :wai: You can even tell them you're really not interested in the engine, it's not period correct.... LoL What ever you gotta tell em to drive the price down. Walk away, tell them you will think about it and call them. Pull all the tricks out the bag.....
If there are a lot of used karts for sale in your area, these tactics work. If there is no abundance of used karts, well, it's kind of a sellers market........ :cheers2:

Not a Rupp!
To me it looks like a Bug Sprint, but I had to see more details to confirm...

Anyways.. A sprint IS indeed desireable..
but in that condition and assuming it's not the original from the 60s but a more recent KPMFG kart...

Ok so I purchased this kart over the weekend for $70. Gonna need lots of work!

My research tells me its a 68 Bug Sprint.

:iagree:

a nice vintage two stroke!

OH IIRC the WB 820 is still produced (as US820 ... yes, technically it's a clone, but it's 100% accurate!)
US motor something..
*headscratch*
J? Could you help me out.. what's that company's name again??

If your looking for an 'Original ' West Bend engine for her, Frank Moore in Ohio is an excellent rebuilder of these 2-stroke engines. He also sells rebuilt engines .. 580's 610's and 820's. He stands behind ALL his work ... I have 11 of his motors on 8 of my restored vintage racing karts and NO complaints here. Any problems he will work with you to get it straightened out. He's an old kart racer to boot. He can be reached at Poohruth@aol.com or 740 - 450 - 1801. good luck .... tell him Arthur sent you.

As a vintage kart guy, my suggestion is stay with what size tires came on it (maybe even put some Vintage Speed 2.5" skinnies up front) and enjoy sliding it through the turns like back in the day.
Wide slicks with a lot of grip on a kart of that era can lead to bicycling ( a fancy term for the outer wheels having too much grip in a corner causing the kart to pitch over on that side) which will lead to you on your ***.

This is a nice kart! The frame is beautiful, and I love what you did with the seat. You should make a good sell with this and they will be a very happy camper..
