He could've waited, gotten some nice pics first instead of posting immediately and saying well *I* am not contributing anything to this thread, I want you guys to do it and I'll just eat this popcorn.... lol
I definitely was a little impatient, super cool to see how many people own gokarts presently.

Don't let hellion ruffle your feathers.
There's blurry lines as to what's a kart is anymore.
Normally I think a kart is a small frame powered by a small engine where your knees are in your chest.. Then there's buggy. Those are usually a bit bigger and you sit more comfortably. Bigger engines usually come with these.
Now the safety police have spoken and most of the coleman/china karts have got popular with a cage type frame for safety.
You haven't crossed into crosskart or full suspention power houses yet so don't worry.
We will still help you. And make fun of each other as we do.
Carry on.
What would you call the pseudo buggies they make? Yerf Dog 1203s, Manco dingos just to name a few

cyberbillp, don't let it get under your skin. We hack and sling a lot of mud at each other but it's all in good natured fun. I'm not a big fan of your buggy, but it has nothing to do with the size of it being a 2 seater. I don't like the modern Chinese kart because they try to put too much on them. Lights, reverse, key start, neutral saftey switches, ect. ect. Too complicated. Myself, I have 4, and every one is a 2 seater with a cage. I wouldn't buy anything else. I like to buy old worn out beaters, build a new hot rod engine ( my favorite part ) and fix them up for my grandkids. In keeping with the title of the thread, " let's see what you guys own" hear is a photo of my karts.
That’s a fleet 😂. Best of luck with them

First post. HELLO
I have a Coleman 196cc I bought used for my wife and grand kids. It was small for me to fit in it so I cut it in half(front to rear) extended it 6 to 8 inches. Added a 8 tooth sprocket in place of the stock 9 (lots of hills) updated the carb, filter and exhaust. Revised to seat.
Now I am replacing the head with a self ported one, better valve springs and pushrods. Put a tach on it and try to get the rpm to around 4500 and keep the gov.
Pic if anyone is interested.
Hello and thank you! Love to see it! How are you enjoying the kart. I have seen a few at my local Tractor Supply and was instantly in love!

I use it on open fields with hills. It is a bumpy ride. It is reliable. I bought mine used but I do see them at TSC. best for kids, the weight of an adult does slow it down.

Just finished for my son. Runs around 42 mph so I need to put a bigger sprocket on to slow it down a bit.

That picture says it all. He is having a blast. As an old geezer who has taught many kids to drive a kart ( 9 in total ) I strongly suggest two things. A helmet, and some long pants. Even if you slow it down a bunch ( and I can garuntee he won't like that one bit ) 30 mph is plenty fast enough to get seriously hurt. Dress him for safty, and let him enjoy the power and speed you have introduced him to.
