Inherited this and starting to fix it up... first I'd like to know if this thing has a model or manufacturer. Or is someone's customish cart.

Are those seatbelt auto-retraction mechs in those boxes behind the seat? Never seen that before, and doesn't look like they're from a car.
Interesting mix of tubing connections. Some are properly coped out for strong 90 degree welds, others are flattened for 90 degree butt welds. At least 6 tube ends are left round and open to the atmosphere.
Confusing, but overall the kart looks too nice to be any kind of completely homemade project. Maybe as you said, "customish".
Interesting steering setup also, to translate left-drive steering column position to equidistant center connection for tierods. Looks like perfect alignment match to factory A-arms, likely has almost no bumpsteer that way.

Yes the seatbelts retrack and i noticed you didnt comment on the custom seat.. haha... I found another one just like it for sale on line.....

Know what the coolest thing about that yellow kart is? The color-coordinated biker's sticker! That's awesome! And I know too well what that first split second feels like in your stomach when that Oldsmobile pulls out in front of your 347 lb. bike that's doing 45 mph.

HAH!!! Pay it! Just got the price this morning for rebuilding our 10' tall church bell tower structure. Just the raw uncut timbers alone will be $5400.
