I have found this mini chopper for sale near me... Could someone tell me what model it is? I know the motor isn't original, obviously .... But that's all I know...

Lmk if this belongs in another forum...

Thanks, Matt

Hello and Welcome..
It does look to be an old'school chopper mini bike... The name off hand I can't seem to remember...
Quite the conversion, must haul pretty quick...

Old Mini bike members might be able to help you on identifying it though someone on here could possibly. I think the stock engine was a 3hp or 5hp Briggs or Tecumseh flat head.

I saw an almost identical one on Craigslist near me and it had a 3hp Tecumseh flattie.

The listing price says $250... I may offer him something but it won't be $250...

Looks like a sweet ride, someone in my area was listing the almost same model for like 150 and it was beautifully painted purple nad orange with a custom emboriderd seat. It was the Harley Davidsonista or something like that. Really cool.

Yeah... I was thinking about offering $150.... But I don't want to offer anything without knowing the make or model...
If it's a Bonanza, I would take it... But I don't know enough to tell.... I've tried to compare pics from Google but I can't find anything definitive...

What is it? Looks like many things to me. Putting the "chop" in chopper. Dat battery tho...

It does look like a Bonanza, but it's also a mess and rusty. $250 is way too much. I'd say $150 on the very outside IF it runs and rides okay, but even then, Maybe $100 in parts.

That's just me. I'm not a minibike collector, so I'm not inclined to pay a lot for vintage stuff just because it's vintage.

It's a 69 Bonanza Scout CR400... those are go power "Kidney bean" Wheels. Stock and Original..Worth around 150 cleaned up for the pair. Would have come with a HS40 Tecumseh. Correct seat, frame and sissy bar with springs .wrong old Forks..wrong motor ..the CR500 came with Hodaka E:code Ace 100cc. That bike is a 400 as it doesn't have the jackshaft Mount the Hodaka 500 had. It's a nice fine. Get rid of that gas tank and those Forks you can buy a set of the correct Forks on eBay or from Dave Miller at Bonanza miniparts . 150 to 200 would be a good price. You could part out the good stuff on eBay if it was cleaned up for way over that. Good luck .Phxminiguy52
