I think I caught the Go Kart bug, now I need to just start working on them. I purchased another kart today not 100% sure what it is. I was told it was a Yerf Dog, but I'm not sure it is. anyone have any idea? Thanks

why would one look at yerf dog karts,
if one clearly has a Carter Bros kart?

(it's model 2765 / 2766 btw maybe 2760 if it had a ten hp engine originally)

Good job sir. I knew I seen that one before but I couldn’t find it for some reason. I knew right off the headrests were wrong tho for a yerf dog.

Good afternoon Team,
Since we are in quarantine, I decided to do some research on my recent purchase..... I looked up the models of the Cater Go Karts on gopowersports.com ..... but Im still having a hard time identifying my new purchase. I looked at Models 2765, 2766, but there's one once of it that doesn't match up. I wonder if its a mash up of two different karts (Not sure just wondering.....) I'll attach an image of the piece that's throwing me off.

IDK what manual you were looking at, but that's no 2765 manual (or 2766 for that matter)
that is from a 25xx manual (or 2636 or so)

Ah.. misunderstood.
you posting a drawing was misleading for me I'm afraid..

but yeah the carter manuals are known to be not the most precise in terms of drawings.
a "rough representation" is all you get.

if you look closely the upper side rail in the manual doesn't match yours too well either for example..
it's just what Carter Bros did... mediocre to crappy parts manuals

the blue kart I posted earlier is a 2760 (ten horse) and if you look closely you can make out the F-Shape

[EDIT]
I'll attach some other 2001-2003 images taken from the carter website ..
maybe you can see the F shape a bit clearer in any of those:
(image names reveal model number)
