I need something that has really high revs, something i can use for drifting. I know bike engines are great but they are so frikken expensive. I am looking at like the 900+ cc engines. I also thought about exchanging the sprockets on the axel and engine. Would that work ???????

a bike engine would be your best bet for that high displacement. You could also get a snowmobile, atv, or even a jet ski motor (with modifications to cooling). Just keep looking on CL and you will find something. Where are you located??

What kind of kart is this going into? Usually anything with a 900+cc motor doesn't go into a drift kart, these are usually offroad vehicles. Although, that would be an impressive street/drift kart.

to be honest a 200 cc or 250cc 2 cycle dirtbike or atv engine would be the best option for a drift setup, you have to factor in you need the torque quick enough with as little weight as possible, and i know for a fact that even a 100 cc dirtbike has a torque curve like a freakin lightswitch, i sent a kx 250 into a backflip in front of me when i was riding on flat pavement....

---> Me and my dad did buy a jat ski like a year ago and we keep it in storage. Its a two stroke kawasaki but that thing has like 180 hp and that is not for the go kart i have.

If this is a factory Manco, and you intend on drifting on pavement, I hope you plan on lowering the thing and possibly giving it a wider wheelbase.

It wont drift otherwise, it'll roll over on itself before you know it.
