Hi guys, I just bought a go kart frame and a used motor off marketplace, but the motor is missing a few things and was wondering if anyone knows what parts I need. I’m new to this so I have no clue what it’s missing but from what I’ve found I think I need a throttle, air filter and carburetor? If anyone could confirm or let me know what it needs I would really appreciate it.

Hopefully you didn't pay too much for that engine, it needs way too much to be worth it. Besides there's no telling if the valves and piston ever became friends

Did the engine come with the kart. The reason I asked is about 2 years ago I bought a Tomberlin brand go kart. Never were a big seller, and I have only seen
2 or 3 others here on the forum. Mine came with the original Mitsubishi engine and it even ran. I threw it away. You will never find parts for it. I'm into hopping them up, so after market speed equipment was a must. Do like Denny sugest.
Go to your local Harbor Freight store and buy yourself a brand new Predator engine. Either a 212cc or a 224cc. Comes with a guarantee, will start on the 2nd or 3rd pull, and will give you years of service. Don't know anything about you, but if you are or ever were a car guy you will understand this.
The 212 and now the 224 Predator engine are the small block Chevy of the go kart world.
