3/8" pitch from tooth to tooth. Meaning you need to be using a chain which fits those specifications IE #35 chain.

the first number represents the distance from tooth to tooth in eights of an inch. So if its 40 its 4/8" or 1/2". If its 35 its 3/8". The second number is what type of chain it is. 0 for chain of the standard dimensions, 1 for lightweight chain, and 5 for rollerless bushing chain.
