What do i need to build a cart?

I have the pretty much basic hand tools thats about it. i have a small drill press and a grinder. i bought a air compressor the other day but when i hooked it up in the garage it barely turned over then i realized its 220 volt. so this weekend ill have a air compressor. i dont have a welder but i do know how to mig weld decently. so basically i just want to know what exactly i need to build a cart. ive got a few hundred to spend on everything at the moment.

Firstly, a welder. Then, maybe get an old frame and recondition it. This is cheaper that a scratch build.

i dont like the wimpy designs like most karts. jr dragster tylers is a nice design but i couldnt afford spending that much money on a kart. i was thinking a snow mobile engine for a powerplant which would require a sturdy frame. and i know i need a welder but i mean like which kind. i only know how to use a mig but im willing to learn to use any other kind. it can be 110 or 220

wouldnt need more than 110 i would imagine

A mig is just lovely for the job, most 110v models will be more than suffiecient for the task.

Ive been meaning to make a thread about tools reguired for fixing a kart, building a kart, etc.

EDIT: Tools for Karts There goes my entire 1st period class
Ill add tools for kart building later.

The HF 90 amp will suffice.
