So I recently got these 2 FREE electric spirit sit down scooters. I wonder if what if any parts I can use to build a go cart? I originally wanted to just do a harbor freight predator gas engine go cart, but I wonder if the electric motors from the 2 scooters would be powerful enough for a go cart?

Its totally doable but I would probably get a lawn mower engine (good power) or a gokart engine off craigslist or something like that. Here's some sites that might help:

These sites are never going to be as good as the info you will get right here. The members on this forum are full of knowledge.

Also, look at this link for some help for specific things:

Yup! they can be used for small light weight karts

Are the scooters you have 24V or a 36V?
...easiest way to tell is looking to see if it has (2) 12V batteries or (3)

Here is a kart I built a few years ago for my daughter.

I used practically the whole drive system off of one of those electric scooters.

Double (twin) motors are also doable, just twice as much ...everything

Check this one out: (no steering wheel) :smiley_omg:

* If its for a large/heavy kart or an adult (to have any fun)
...you'll want something larger :cheers2:

Like maybe a 48V 1,000W MY1020 (~$100.00)

...or even a 48V 1,800W Boma motor kit (~$200.00)
https://www.ebay.com/itm/1500W-Watt...h=item2609a6a825:g:cXwAAOSwIDJb6kfj:rk:4:pf:0

Check out !Arriba! it has dual 48V 1,000 motors :2guns:
