Ha
I took it as u are involved in

In that case I quite like old beetles
I'd like to get hold of one to retire and modify

I learnt to drive in one on an old blokes farm
It was the most beat up old thing with limited body panels but it was so light and had a flat bottom do it went anywhere And aquaplane like a jet ski

^^Love the older Dodge there... more pics?

Oh, and nice billowing smoke there! :D

Oh, and as for what I like? Mostly Mopar compatible stuff.
Would like to make a nice 70s Dodge pickup, slightly beefed out engine, stepside bed, stacks, and nice blue paintjob... And a Viper... definantly a Viper... :D

im into old porsches old jeeps and old vws and old euro cars and oddballs in general. Iv got a 46 jeep cj-2a and a 67 cj-5 . also a 1982 911sc and a 72 914 im restoring. My brother is the vw guy hes got a mid engine rail buggy we built a few years ago and his 62 bug is almost done. we did quite alot of work to that to get it fixed up. Back in the day we were into the old american cars and had a 69 nova that was a blast. My dad has a 58 impala and we go to all the local car shows . its good fun

You will not catch me in a 4 banger for speed cars. Even if it is race ready. (well drag ready I should say) But they have a spot for the younger kids of today for sure. Once your a muscle car guy I guess you never look back. At the drag track anyway... Track racing the souped up 4 bangers coud be fun though.

What kind of times does your Nova's do?

Funny you say four bangers. I know a guy with a 2L, 4 cylinder, turboed, Nissan engine in an old Ford Escort. Does low 9's. Boosting something like 30psi on E85. Pretty impressive, to say the least.

When the last time you seen that 2L motor in a monster truck?

Also give me the same money your friend spent on getting his 2L to pull low 9's. I will put that money in a 496 bigblock and will see okay? :)

For real. Thats like me posting a youtube vid of a Top Fuel Funny Car to compare with? Post your fastest 2L you can find. Then I will post the fastest V8 times I can find. Is that how you see it?

My Race Nova is all over the place from low 11's to 12's. It's old school!!!! It's just a quick scary fun car that takes both hands on the wheel to drive it down the track. LOL

Whats funny at my track is the 4 bangers guys pay the race fee and just sit in the pits bumping music talking imports and HP with each other. 90% of them never race but have times on there window. Dyno slips as well. Then when they leave they all leave togather racing out of the race track and down the road like wild animals. Around here I see the ricers will only drag race from a 20mph rolling start? WTH is that? Rolling start????

I seen some really fast 2L and my hats off to them. But for me it just does not look as fun and doing wheels stands and having to drive the car to the finish. I also said 4 bangers have a spot in todays younger generations. It's not like they can go buy a used muscle car like you could when I was a kid. You hotrod what was cool to you growing up is how I see it. That GT,SS,R/T is now replaced with Type R.

When I see a 2L in a top fuel dragster I will eat crow. I may not like 4 bagers for hotrods but I accept them and understand why people like them. If it sounds or sounded like I am bashing them I am not. I know there are lots of them out that that would spank me and my Nova. You cannot argue with that. Peroid....

I LOL when I see true ricers of todays imports. When I was a kid I was the hot rod ricer kid if you will. I was the kid that had the beat up well used 1970 Nova jacked up with air shocks. Even leaf spring shackles to get that extra jacked up look. 6x9 wooden speakers boxes in the back window. LOL it's all the same to me just now and then.

Oh I know! I just rebuilt a 3508 that made 920hp on the dyno, at over 5000nm. Has over 2000CI. Not bad for a V8.

I think you miss understood me, I wasn't comparing your Novas to the Escort. I was generally interested in what times they ran. I mention the Escort as I thought some guys might get a kick out of it.

You can't put all '4 Bangers' together as a group. Sure there are idiots that rice them out, but there is the flip side to us others as well, that like to do runs and have fun.

My opinion is that V8s are easy power. I know you can get a V8 to 300hp easy, I like the fact that it takes more to get a 4/6 cylinder there. EFI, Timing, Turbos, ECU.

As for the money he spent on it? You get maybe $1000. He did it all himself, free turbo from work, etc.

Just my 2c.
