So I have a Baja Frame that was cut in half. I thought I was going to build an All-Tertain Scooter with a high ground clearance and started by rotating the back end and welding the engine mount on top. After mocking it up I changed my mind.....I don't think I would feel comfortable sending me kids and nephews hurling thru the woods on something that high AND standing up.......Soooooo after some Friday-after-work alcohol consumption I came up with a "RATBIKE"!!!. Low seat like an Alsport Trike and foot pegs sticking out in a similar fashion with the engine behind you as well. Basically a 70's trike like the Alsport's, Montgomery Ward T-555's, etc but on two wheels. So what could possibly go wrong? That is why I am asking the collective wisdom of this fine community of "Steel Tube & Predator Motor Fabricator's" of what the errors of my ways might be. Is this thing going to handle like the Titanic on the local lake reservoir? Will I be gambling with "The Devil down in Georgia" looking for payment of what might be due? Or should I throw caution to the wind, fire-up the ole Like ncoln MIG and start down the Road to Perdition? Any advice, caution, forewarning, and whatever comes to your mind will be greatly appreciated.
BTW- Yes I know the sprocket is on the wrong side. YOU TRY putting the rear wheel assembly back together with a backwards-a$$ mini-bike frame after 6-beers!!
