Weedeater reduction box

I made this a few years ago. It solves all the problems of mounting a powerhead to a bike or a kart.
These little engines are getting better all the time, they run at any angle and have built in cooling.

Thanks RW, I posted some stuff on some other bike sites you could search out. I won't link it on this forum but you'll find it by name.
It's great for what I want, which is a light motor that I can still pedal like a normal bike.
The next build will be much more compact, I'll use a better bike and I've decided to downsize to a gx25. It'll still hustle along because it will have a good p/w ratio.

im gonna guess its a 90 degree worm gearbox to have a nice big ratio for 28" tires then a free-wheel for the pedals to spin freely when engine is running, there is prob a cent clutch built into the motor too

Your on the right track. It rides like a normal pushie, it freewheels like a normal bike. It only has one chain and no extra levers. It's light and the weight is in the right place. It will get up any hill that the tyre can find grip on, and it cruises at 40kph with a gx31.
I haven't had to adjust anything in 4 years of extreme off road use. I've jumped it, crossed rivers with it and ridden it on fast downhill tracks, it just keeps going! The Honda motor is starting to get a bit tired after all that abuse, but it still starts first pull so I'll keep it a bit longer. There are lots of motor options I'd like to try out in the future, including electric.
