Well, it was this picture that got me to thinking I needed something to do to keep this going. This is Vanessa, she is often with me in my shop assisting. I was working on this Cobra and I asked her to replace the struts.
Not really, I didn't do that, she couldn't get the spring compressor to work.

So now we have found a 66 f100 to work on figuring I would have 12 years to finish it before she gets her license.

As stated in my introduction, this was outside in the weeds for around 7 years and electronics were shot. First thing after deciding to go gas, was remove electric motor and strip the guts to keep the armature shaft and bearings. I don't know what glue is used on the armature but a twenty ton press didn't phase it. Had to pry each of those separate thingys on the floor one by one, there's 2 hours used up to make a little girl happy.

And now a question to those more smarter than I. The engine is a 7 hp, torque converter has a 10 tooth sprocket, the reverse has an output 10 tooth sprocket. Tire diameter is 20 1/2" The old electric motor housing where the final sprocket will be is a little shy of 6". The original rear ratio was 8:1. Estimated weight 400 lbs.
Would I run 10 tooth across jackshaft to a 10 tooth input on reverse or is that going to be too heavy a load for the parts I have?

Got this from bmikarts.com
Drive Wheel Diameter In Inches 20.5
Rated Engine RPM 3000
Teeth On Axle 60
Teeth On Clutch 12

Calculated Results
Drive Wheel Circumference In Inches 64.403
Gear Ratio 6:1
Maximum Speed In MPH 30.494
