I think $80 was good becasue the kart comes complete with most of the hardware...hubs, steering, sprocket, axle etc. oh, and one tire lol. Dont know what karts go for in your area but IMO thats a good deal.

If nothing else, just clean it up good and resell it for a profit.

I'd have to agree, that's a pretty good score. Even if you have to replace all the bearings, you still have a couple hundred dollars worth of hardware there.

With a bit of luck & careful planning, you could have yourself a decent kart for around $300

Its actually not in bad shape, has the hubs which is a plus for me, and a live axle already. Brake caliper and disk, sprocket. Adjustable seat, pedals.
The previous, previous owner had hubs that went from 4 to 5 lug for regular wheels, but one broke so i have 1.

Just ordered a complete torque converter setup and will use my new 7hp duramax on it. With the electric start and lights on it, might even put a horn for fun.

Then tear it down over the winter for a fresh paint job.

Thats the same frame Im using for my build. A smidge too small but I will make it work hahaha
