Fun rotary fact: unlike a piston engine, it is beneficial to redline a Wankel a few times a day, this cleans out carbon, which can build up, chip off, and blow the motor.

They really don't get rid of the oil pump they do use 4-cycle oil for the bearings and what not but also pre-mix because most of mazda's wankel engine have lubrication issues so most will run pre-mix with along with there 4-cycle setup
