I jealous. If I had the tools to machine things...

I did not show you that to make you jealous or to grand stand I just wanted to show you that we can make your baroness a real thing with whatever engine you want to put on it.:cheers2:

No worries, I'm still jealous. I don't think anything negative here. A rotary engine would make it for sure.

Can you do me a favor? Take pictures of the left side of each of your motors. Dead on left side if you can. Even if it's on your kart, that'd be fine. I'd like a few pictures I can use in the mock up of this and the pics I find on the net suck. I'm trying to envision what it could look like.

It's an honor to be on a forum like this!
People not only sharing their knowledge but putting their time and effort in other peoples project too.

For that, thank you

What are the dimensions of the cart?

73 1/2 O.A.L, 18 3/16 Front cross tube, 30 3/4 Rear cross tube, wheel base is 46 3/4.
The main lower tubes are cut on five degrees for a overall taper of ten degrees.
The kart has ackermann steering and I put more caster in the front end than normal because I hate a car with understeer I lucked out because the kart turns very well and handles very well for what I built it for. I payed close attention to the center of gravity and when you go into a turn on asphalt or dirt too hard the kart stays neutral and it is very forgiving. The rear axle is 40 inches.

Thanks, does the cart taper in after the from wheels or is it throughout the frame?

Throughout the frame I did not want any joints in the main frame rails and with that taper I was trying to get the minimum over hang on the rear axle so that it would be stronger.
Do you want me to post a picture with the kart standing on its end so that you can see the frame construction from underneath?

Yeah Sure! That would be very helpful!

A pleasure to meet you Bret.

Likewise Kelly,
Let's hit those lake beds this fall and we can make a tight track and a open track and have a great time.
I think you need to let me port one of those engines for you and let's make you a lake bed engine and then you can swap it back for your neighborhood cruising.
P.S. Thanks for the kind words my friend!
