Hello everyone, hope everyone is doing good. Having issues tuning my Mikuni on my 224 gov deleted engine. I’m wondering if anyone have a jet chart that show the jets compared to an aftermarket VM22. I am running the ones that gopowersports recommended. Which I think are to big. A 140 main and a 17.5 pilot. They don’t sell a 115 or 120 on there website. Not sure if the sizing is different from the knockoff ones. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Hi I'm new here but surprised no one's responded. Maybe the VM22 isn't the carb type most run on a 224? I built a gx200 up a while back (the one I'm getting back into here) and I want to say I matched it with a vm26.

Anyway, why do you suspect the gopower jets are too big? What's your motor doing?

Here are two sites I've relied on to find good technical info on jets and needles etc for a lot of carb types:

Is your engine built beyond just a governor delete? Head ported? Just trying to get a gauge.

Well, AnthonyG must have been waiting for you. 😁 Glad to see you here, are you that same Minimichael from our "sister site"?

DIYGK has seen some tough times lately, an overall dip in the small engine/small vehicle/minibike/go kart user base and daily spam attacks that were pretty bad in August which drove away a lot of new, old and potential new members. The daily glut of spam would bury legitimate posts well into the second or third page so I suspect a combination of all those factors left this thread ignored until now.

We have had our share of "oops, try later" forum messages as well. But we are back.

Oh, ok. Yeah, I've been there for awhile as well. When you said sister site, I thought maybe an affiliate site(same owner). (y)

I wish there was a decent RC forum that was like here. Informative, but funny and not a ton of douche bags. Well, we are a bunch of informative, funny and douche bags. But, good douche bags! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Appreciate you reaching out. I believe it has something to be with the intake manifold I was running. I tried a completely different carb with no luck. With a smaller jet in it. They I changed the intake manifold with the second carb and the bike running fine. So at the point I’m not sure if it was running to lean.

Those manifolds are neat in the “economy of space” aspect, having them nestled close to the engine. The typical stage 1 carburetor kit and giant cone filter jutting out past the frame rails is an eyesore to me. Pity it didn’t work out for you.

What is on it now? We need more photos :drool5:
