Virtual Shredder II Build ( Newbie )

Hello,

I ordered plans for Shredder II about 2 or 3 years. I just started working on this project. Now Ubuildit has gone out of business.

Since this was my first project on this scale I knew I needed a discipline approach for my own sanity. I bought the required tools, but not the materials yet.

After reviewing the plans I decided that I really need to build a virtual model. I needed to visualize this model (Shredder II) for my own sanity before I started purchasing materials.

But I would like to hear from anybody who has built a Shredder II, and willing to post some pictures of the frame or post some advice.

Welcome to the forum!! I am actually not too sure if anyone has build the shredder on this site. I have been here for a while and cannot remember one. I will do a search though and see

Just hopping on Google images and most were built by members on minibuggy.net however it appears one member on here did build one back around 2010/2011 by the name MNtravis. http://www.diygokarts.com/vb/showthread.php?t=11510

I haven't built a shredder yet, but I've owned the plans for several years and I do agree that it's smarter to model it first. I remember the plans being somewhat hard to follow, as the frame has a lot of odd angles and tube lengths designed into it. I figure it's better to screw up when cutting virtual tubing, you can sort out what you got wrong and fix it without having to scrap a real part.
