i used those for my first go kart and bearings burned up the second time i rode it all you have to do is by some high speed ones itll pro cost u 8.00

I am probably getting the ones I showed you. I am going to be using 3/4" bearings, so when I replace them, I'll use the 3/4". And I am doing single wheel drive.

Yeah im going to need rims and bearings for the front wheels on my cart, the rims are bent badly and the bearrings are so bad that they have 3 to 4 inch side to side travle. :O

Holy crap! Really? that sounds almost bad enough to throw you off the side while doing 30! Not that you can probably even use the kart.

Here is what I have been doing lately:
I cut the seat out of chip board, as well as the steering panel or whatever you call it. Then I found a kill switch on one of my 5 weed eaters, and mounted it on the frame. I hooked it to the engine to test it, and it works.
After that I ground down on my welds, to make them look better.

I won't be able to work on the kart for a couple weeks, since now all I need to do is buy parts. The problem is that I don't have the money yet.
Once I get my wheels and stuff, I'll be almost done.

It looks to me like a Tecumseh 3 or 5 hp.

Anyone know how to get a flywheel out of a both a lawn mower engine, and the engine I just showed you? I'm going to be switching them out.

Im gonna go with a 5 horse. What modle is it? For a fly wheel pull off pull starter and flywheel nut. Make but flush with end of crank then moderatly pry on flywheel while tapping the nut and it should pop off. Make sure you dont wreck any wireing behind the flywheel.

What do I use to hold the flywheel in place to loosen the nut? Also, which way do I turn the nut on each engine? I have heard some have reverse threads on the crankshaft.

you turn the nut the oppsite way the crankshaft spins on the flywheel side

I just have some one use a rag (so the fins dont hurt) and hold the flywheel as you loosen it. Ive been able to do it myself.

i couldent undo the nut on my 8 horse with the flywhell clamped and me stod on a tbar lol

I used an impact wrench to get mine off when I wanted to remove the flywheel. If you have access to one of those it'll make the job real easy.

I rap a tie-down strap around the flywheel in the opposite direction of the nut you are trying to remove and securely fasten both end of the strap to your work bench. As you put force on the nut the strap tightens around the flywheel.
