Hey guys just a quick update on the kart, today I brought a sprocket mount and me and my mate found a seat and mounted that too.
Here are a couple of pics.

Hey guys, today I made a steering wheel, mounted the seat and fell asleep in it too!
Also I gave extra support to the steering beam and steering shaft.
I also worked out where the diamond plate would be mounted.
Give me a comment on how i'm going and wish me luck!
All that I need to do is finish off some welding, get a chain and get some front wheels.
Thanks for viewing!

Hey guys, I finished my go kart!
Took it for a spin yesterday for about 1 hour and it was great! everything works great and I'm so happy with it
I'll upload a video tomorrow some time because I finally have somebody who isn't busy to film!

But today when I was driving around my front wheel buckled and nearly fell off.. so I cracked out the welder and hopefully it wont break.
Also this morning I took it down to the park and went off road.. So much fun!
But there is one thing that's bugging me.. that's the throttle control, if anybody is able to sent me pics of different throttle setups that would be great =D

Oh also I forgot to mention that I got up to about 15kmph on the road.. and believe me that's fast enough.. especially on grass

lol.. that wasnt full throttle, I have a 62 tooth sprocket with a 12 pin clutch and 15 inch tires.. should be faster.. especially when the engine warms up

Hey guys, long time since i did an update so here is another.
Those front wheels are CRAP they snapped after about 10 mins of driving.. so I brought the same tires as the back ones because they seem to be pretty good quality.
I also added the peddle which works great and added a kill switch right on the steering wheel.
I was trying to upload a video on youtube for the past 5 days but my brother brought a new router which seems to love dropping my internet connection.. woo fail youtube uploads.... =(

Anyway I have some pics here for you all to look at, let me know what you think and i'll post a video soon!
Thanks for viewing!

oh btw those silver wheels are the ones that snapped, as you can see they're so crap!

Dude some advice for your welds.. lower speed lower heat and go SLOW painfully slow. my dad just refreshend my brain on mig welding yesterday and i spend the whole day 12-5 welding stuff up.. so just slow up on your welds and less wire speed. and after a while you can tell when your welding good and when you need to stop so you dont blow through.

A few welds are only tacked, I'll try and buy a mig welder asap but I'm only 17 and I don't earn that much so I'll have to make do with this crappy $130 stick welder I have.
ty for the advice
