Anybody know how much a 1962 Lightning Bug go kart frame goes for?

Thanks!

Sorry, I don't. It could go for 2c if in bad shape, or a lot more in good shape.

A pic would be handy

Hi Landuse,
The frame is in excellent shape. Is there anybody I could PM here about it?
Thanks!
John

the last stinger I've seen was a complete (less engine) 70's stinger sidewinder..
with pedals, airheart brake, steering, the original exhaust, nylite wheels and most of all a very good seat cover.
Overall condition was good. (rusty steering wheel, missing steering shaft)
sold for US $855.

based on that and the prices for wheels, seat cover and an airheart brake I'd say maybe you can get 450-500 with a bit of luck (no less than 300 I assume)

I cannot think of any one person offhand, but if you want really good advice, you can go to http://www.vintagekarts.com/forum/. They will give you a good estimate

Hi Landuse,
I have been DYING to get into that forum. I have been trying for 4 weeks now and NOBODY gets back to me... EVER. There is a admin Joe Campbell (spelling?) that I have emailed 6 times... no luck. Do you know any admins there that could get me in there? At this point, I would pay to get in! I'm serious. I don't know why it's so difficult.

Thanks!
John

Foifer,

If you want to get registered on VintageKarts, you must use your real name, no handles or screen names. It usually lets you register anyways but the admin will tell you to re-register if you don't use your real name.

Hi Ace,
I did use my real full name and I never got the email that says I can get in. I even had my brother-in-law try to sign up under his name and he gets nothing... no email. Do you know any admins there? This is really frustrating. And yes, I am more than computer literate. :)

Thanks!
John

I mean down as in unavailable. David Luciani usually handles the registration and I have contacted him about you but I haven't heard back either. There may be other issues that we don't know about. Once they're back up I'll see if there's a "Plan B" to get you guys in.

Thanks jandj. I really appreciate it. You rock!
