Valve Lash Setting ?

I need to set valve lash. If I understand this correctly I should set the valve lash at TDC on the compression stroke? How do I know or find TDC on the compression stroke ? ( this is for a predator 212 hemi).

simple, open the valve cover and remove the spark plug ...
turn the engine over slowly.. see how the valves open and close..
it's intake open, close, pause, exhaust open,close, intake open,close, pause, exhaust open,close and so on..

if you observe the valves and TDC passes you'll notice the pause very easily...
within that pause you'll have the compression and combustion stroke; hence the valves don't move.
and that's the TDC you're looking for.
