I could definitely see a twin-turbo setup with ecotron kit happening.

Who's got more info on this, or knows where to get one?

First off make one turbo work

There's no turbo kits for these engines

Anyone who wants the sort of speed and technicalitys of a turbo setup would long since got a bike engine

Who said anything about a turbo kit? Although I could build one (thinks for second). The whole point is the "technicality" and the sound and feel of a boosted application. Yea one turbo will work fine but it won't look nearly as cool. That's what I want at least. At $600 with a 20% coupon compared to an expensive 600cc bike engine with the h***le of wiring etc it's a no brain'er.

It's even got a built in Oil Cooler !

I actually have seen people take low pressure turbos and turbos from smaller vehicle engines and running them on these engines as turbos. However I have seen, with much more success I might add, people running smog pumps from older trucks as superchargers with a bit of modification. Some of the racing tractor forums have some stuff on forced induction in V-twins, might have some luck finding some stuff there.

People run small 4cyl car turbo's on twin cyl mower engines. Personally, i think its cool to hear it spool and whistle, but thats all i think it does. If someone says that they put a car turbo/smog pump on one, and are making a lot more power, i think their talking out there.........yea. I dont see it making to much boost, and even then it helping the engine at all. If you want HP, go billet.

A proper bike turbo or a low pressure turbo, if installed correctly could produce measureable boost. What would be a real cause for concern is turbo lag, whether or not at 3600rpm there would be meaningful boost. I'd think you'd need to be ungoverned, running 18lb springs and billet internals in order to reach the RPM's where a turbo MIGHT produce boost if it were small enough. I really do see some car turbos working, some of these Mower engines get up to .8 liters and some car engines are only one liter or smaller even and run turbos, I'd imagine you could probably find one of those in a junk yard and pick the turbo from it. Again I'd say even the biggest of twins would need to be ungoverned to properly spool a turbo, however I think it's well within reason.

I honestly think a smog pump could work if you were to run it through a proper gearing to get it spooled up high enough, however you'd need to measure the CFM and pressure output of the smog pump, along with the CFM requirement of the engine you're running.

I saw the V twin Predator on a huge generator at Harbor Freight today. I didn't find the engine itself just the generator. The clerks didn't know if it was available by itself.

I just got my latest sales flyer, and it advertise's it in bold print, list price $999.00, on sale for $699.00. I talked to the shift supervisor at the store I normally shop at, and he confirmed that it's coming, but said he didn't know how long it would be before he had any in inventory. Apparently it has to filter out into the supply chain.......

:cheers2: :wai:
