Hi I'm new here, just bought my first go kart ..we'll just the frame. Actually. Therein lies the problem. I don't know what make or model I'm tr eying to rebuild. I was reading thru the forums and I saw that there should be a numb r by the seat plate. Nothing. Anyone tell me why this is.

Also paid 50 bucks for it in trade. For some junk I had. And I bought a predator 8hp motor 301cc for 102. Bucks.

Thanks for the new thread. And again welcome. There are some peeps her that really know their karts.
I'm not one of them.

Looks like you have a good frame to start with. That's the hard part. The rest is just money!

I also have a 301. It is still bone stock, govna and all. I can't wait to open her up and give her the treatment. It pulls hard and spins my 22s with ease.

Do you have anything else with that?
Rear axle, brakes, front everything, wheels......

Most kart stuff is pretty generic and fit all with a little fabrication.

Please stay on the line and a representative will be with you shortly....

Yeah they didn't take care of her, but I'm gonna play Dr Frankenstein. She's coming back to life. And gonna be a monster.

Just to let you know your going to waste alot of money on that go kart like alot. I bought mine for $190 and it was complete. Had some problems but nothing major besides having a techumseh engine that sucked.

Well it already has a torque convertor driven unit on it for a 30 series tq(torque covertor) but I believe a 301cc 8hp predator engine has a 1' shaft and the 30 series torque convertor is for a 3/4" shaft. Your also missing the shocks, things in the front that the shocks go connected to and the tie rods and the wheels and the live axle in the back and the wheels and your seat, and your sprocket and your chain and your 40 series torque covertor or a 1' cluth depends on what you choose, That is alot of money going into that go-kart

I think you overpaid. :(

What blows is the thing has no front spindles or "axle". You're going to have to source those and the "universal" nature of regular go kart parts doesn't come into play there. Either find original parts or fab your own 'A' arms, then buy new shocks and tie rods. And then the rest.

What a project...
