Here's the homebuilt that I put together from pocket bike parts. 2 pocket bikes, one engine for $30. I used the engine mounting plate and wheel assemblies from one bike. The handlebars are from a load of 3-wheeler parts I bought from a guy on craigslist. I cut the exhaust pipe right after the first bend, then added a piece of metal hydraulic line from my backhoe, plus an old muffler off a Briggs riding lawnmower engine. Found the CVT on ebay. I know, the bracing on the front fork is excessive, but plans kept changing...
All it needs is a seat, brake cables, a tank mount (that's a one-quart aloe vera juice bottle fuel tank) and a coat of paint. Other than that it works great.
