As many of you know, I started a new job recently. In the course of my training for the specific parts we produce (boat and ship propellers), I've been looking up our customers on the net.

What I'm about to present is not one of those customers.

One of those customers had video links on their home page, showing case examples of what they can remedy with their services. As usual for a youtube link, at the end of the video, up comes a box with nine others.

While the girl in the background is definitely good looking, what had me click on it was this thing;

http://youtu.be/9jGF8e6n_dk

And here's where I need 'Sid's help; I only speak two languages: English, and really, really bad English. The people in the video appear to be conversing in German.....Hmmm... Who do I know who might be able to help me out???....

The secondary question's I have concern whether this thing can actually move under it's own power, or all the hydraulic components just window dressing? And if it is just a "Styling Exercise", the next question would be "Why?"???

So the thing looks real (never seen it in real life.. just images and one or two videos)

That *guy* (oh boy, I do not like him already..) has the build log on youtube though,
so I think it's legit.

But I do not think you'll see it move under it's own power, it's "front drive" I wouldn't want to try to take a corner with 550HP pulling on the front wheel ;)

There's another hero who build a star engine bike (red baron themed)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VbX2t7O6to0

And he actually drives a few feet ;)

Back to the bomber bike and Pat's questions:
Yes that's a german (by his background music, website, and uhm "design-elements" -- TOO german for me, if you know what I mean)
Anywho..

I strongly believe that this beast WOULD move under it'S own power, but I don't think someone's actually brave enough to try...
again: front wheel drive.. that's just insane!

And for your last and maybe major question: "Why?"
Well.. he made that perfectly clear.. it was available no one wanted it... so he got it
(Honestly.. for a dollar I would have bought it myself!)
And why a bike? because it was the least amount of work according to him.
So the answer would be: "well.. why not?!" :D

Thanks 'Sid. I like beautiful females as much as the next man; but, as a top ten list for machinist's (at least 5~6 years ago) listed, you know you are a gear head/ machinist/ heavy metal nut when you go to a trade show, and you get annoyed at how the booth babe's keep getting in the way of your view of the machines on display (move your breast's; I want to see that machine do that again).....

I fully agree!

that's why american style car magazines do not sell well in germany (not even translated ;)),
there's always a chick ruining the glossy paint with her buttmarks :(

In 'german' magazines, you barely see any person next to the car (machine...whatever) with just two exceptions:
images from international car shows
and images with the one owning the car (or the builder)

:eek::ack2::smiley_omg: This thing appears to have some adaptation of a 3" Jessel belt drive coming off a RAGB, leading into what I'm guessing is probably an aftermarket HD gearbox?!?!?. AND with zero guards?!? No wonder he was strapping on every piece of armor he owned; he knew he was going to need it.....

I apologize for not including this in an earlier post; my internet is thru my cell provider, and it's blowing pretty good outside right about now.... :surrender: Pat
