The helmets and pads is what make AF better IMO. With helmets it is no bars hold kill you with a lead pipe. Yes rugby is just as violent and perhaps even more. But that being said I think AF players can go all out with no holding back hit wise and inflicting damage wise.


I said ultimate team sport for each player has to do his job for each play. The way I see it is a true team sport. Yes lots of sports need teamwork. But in football you pay the price dearly for mistakes or weak players.

Nothing against rugby at all. Just not on much in the states. I do not even know the first of the basics rules. Say not even close perhaps was not the right word I was trying to say.

I do know I would play football today. I would not play rugby today. So ya.

^most i see(heaps of them everywhere) say they miss the weather and the afrikaans culture but not the crime and corruption etc. Alot move here for a couple years then goto Australia fo more money and more sun.

Yup, the crime and corruption is pretty bad here (but you just exchange one set of problems for another when moving somewhere else) , but the standard of living is pretty good. According to one website I checked, the white population of South Africa only makes up 9% (or 4.5 million) of the population, and out of that 9%, only about 40% of them are Afrikaans.

We have brilliant weather here. Not too cold, and generally not too hot. I don't think I would ever consider moving

I agree with you about beautifull, and yes, there is crime, but it is not as bad as people overseas think it is. I went to Zim twice befor Robert Mugabe went a bit mad and started his farm grabbing. It is one of the most beautifull places in my opinion. Victoria Falls is something to see.

What were the stats under apartheid? Its funny most of the White sth Africans i've known in NZ have been dutch as. Remember my friends mum refering to his kiwi friends as his 'english friends'. lol

I for one am VERY happy that game went the way it did. LSU was talking smack and got what they deserved... as did every chump who says Geaux instead of Go or wears gold and black on a daily basis while living in Houston.
