Cool bike, Sounds Good too.
Those helmet cam vids are always funny to watch. It seems when you turn your head the bike is turning too.

Thanks guys, I am leaning all the different circuits in the carburetor and checking the cylinder temperature as I go along so that I can lean out the main circuit and set a baseline jetting so as changes in the ambient temperature and elevation I can adjust the air fuel ratio as needed, every change in the air fuel ratio so far has helped the performance of the engine. Here is a cover that I have installed over the flywheel nut, it is a stainless steel air horn cover that I had.

Brett,
I love the look of that little bike except for one thing I gotta know. With that smaller front tire it is raked forward so it looks like it is going down hill, does that make it faster being that it looks like it is always going down hill? :lolgoku: Seriously, that thing really scoots and I like it!

Lol, yes Denny it does make it feel like I am always going down hill with a false sense of speed! I would have put a larger tire in the front but the tire size that I have on the front is as large as the forks will accept. Then again I thought about how back in the sixties lot's of things had this rake look, do you remember the old Schwinn Apple Krate Bicycles? I need to put a dummy shifter between the seat and the fuel tank.
:lolgoku:

I lusted after the Schwins as a kid. What about extending the forks a couple of inches or widening them? I believe with you're skills you just may be able to pull it off, if not we could maybe talk you through it. :lolgoku: I like the look of that little monster other than that. I think if it was mine I would even consider just clearing or chroming the frame.

I will keep it the way it is for now, I have many sets of these tires and they are free. I might see if I can find a thinner taller tire for the front.
This thing is soon going to hit the lakebed for some testing and proving.

I changed the gearing from 6:5:1 to 7:1 and I like it better. I will head out to "Area 52" next week and test this Mini Bike out in the Desert and on the Lakebed.

Here are some shots of the Sachs 293cc powered Mini Bike with a larger front tire installed and a chain guard installed that I made that is retained by DZUS fasteners. I have been testing this thing out in the hills and dirt roads by my home and even with just a 7:1 reduction this thing climbs hills easily. I am going to make a rear chain guide for the rear sprocket just to keep the chain in alignment over the rough stuff in order to keep the chain from derailing. The engine is running great just with free air cooling. No problems so far.

Thanks, I do not know what color I will paint the frame or if I will clear coat it as some has suggested. The frame will need protection from the elements for sure most certainly from the harsh desert elements where it will spend most of it's time at.

Yeah the problem is you cant tell where the clear has been scratched till it rusts.
I suggest a silvery Grey color.

Exactly, I did have the seat made with gray trim just in case I chose to go with a clear coat, silver or gray and I plan on machining and blacking out the wheels like I did on my wife's kart too.

locking buddy?

we want to see the painted result as well (well... I do!)
I'd also love to see a desert lap when you dialed in your jetting and such..
and I doubt I'd be the only one here.

basically.. I'd like to see this thread living for another page :D

So, if you really want to have this thread closed, I will; but I'd rather not ;)
your call.
