wow ..that is cool ...the scid plate in front is a good idea, what guage is it...and the rear sprocket how many teeth?

the rims are 8" ones from BMI. they are for the 4" x4 bolt hubs from BMI also. I bought all my live axel stuff from them. the tires are snowhogs....heres a link.

8" wheel and a 8" tire are not the right match. im thinkin about buyin some 6" wide wheels. I guess your sapose to have the rim at least a inch norrower than the tire.
not sure about the gage of the skid plate.....it was a peace already on the kart just in a different spot. its pretty thick though. the rear sprocket is a 60. I have a 10 for the primary. I just bought this so I hope its better than the setup im tryin to get workin.

ya I'm going to have to get better breaks also I have one mech. brake and that doesn't stop me vary fast..I'll have to go withe a daul hydrolic..know of any place with good prices??

I see you can weld, you buy quality parts, ... Why didn't you start from zero? Now, you have to adjust about everything on that kart, just look at the caliper mounts

T-man. Ebay is where i found that brake. 30 dollars was all. good place to get parts ive found.
iRenaat.....I got this kart as a trial run, to see how to do alot of things. Ive never built one of these things so i kinda wanted to get something that was done and rework it to how I wanted it to be. this is my learner one. Ive been collecting parts for another project i'll start this winter. I still need to buy a tube bender.
I dont mind having to go backward with this because ive learned alot about what its all about.
like right now im kinda fighting the throttle cable. some of the simple things can be the biggest pain in the butt.
