question what if i made a turbocharger and put it on my gokart. would it work? but i don't have any blueprints. i want it to be simple. what if i made like this big funnal and put a kick butt motor on it tha suckes air into the air intake fast. it should work right? MORE air = More Power. also what would happen if i put a torque converter on a gokart with 10 in. tires. would it go faster? but blueprints would be helpful.:D please help

It won't help much at all, if you don't have a big engine, since there won't fit much air. A turbo charger compresses the air so compressed air goes in with fuel, and the motor compresses it another time = better explosion, but the engine heats and it can't fit much so it can help a little but not much

It can be done. But you will need a controllable way to regulate the higher pressure required to "cram" in more air, so you don't wreck your engine. A wastegate actuator, with system bypass, would probably be needed. Your best bet is to consider a "draw through" type turbocharger at the exhaust outlet (so you don't need to seriously modify the carburetor). One of the smallest turbos for this purpose is the Lombardini TD025M-03C. Turbocharging is a complicated endeavor, not impossible for small engines, but complicated- and you have to understand the power cycle; ie., A/F ratios, & combustion heat and pressures of your type of engine. This can't be done in a few short sentences....Google search "turbocharging" and read up on it.
