hi all this is just pen and paper at the moment, but the plan is to create a turbo briggs weapon. its only small but the custom built frame will host a small flat head briggs with a custom turbo kit for it. im hoping to build a 2 speed GB for it, if any one nows a simple compact unit i can have a crack at build i would be very great full if they can share there ideas. it will run a fair bit of pit bike parts, forks, wheels, brakes, shock etc. here are the parts im looking at cheap but look the goods, http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI...0&ssPageName=ADME:X:AAQ:AU:1123#ht_1244wt_794 , http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI...4&ssPageName=ADME:X:AAQ:AU:1123#ht_1200wt_794 , http://cgi.ebay.com.au/BILLET-ALLOY...orcycle_Parts_Accessories&hash=item19b58b4ce5

heres the frame it will all be bolted to,

heres with the the prototype body on it and engine, will be a naked bike

thanks all feed backs well come, Dan

Why dont you buy a 125cc pit bike (about 500 or less second hand) and then modify the body and get new wheels. A briggs is slow, a pit bike engine has lots of grunt.

T25 will be to big.

Is your Briggs a flathead or an OHV?

Pit bike engine is about a million times better than the Briggs, pretty much indestructible too.

Thanks

A turbo on a flatty is almost pointless. The valves will float around 5500 rpm and the motor will require a good bit of expensive parts to toughen. The pit bike motor will have more hp, torque, and a fully functioning gearbox intact. It will redline between 8000-10000 rpm and give much better performance. There is a kart on here, a shopping cart, with a turbo and I believe he has gained a max of 8 pounds of boost. It is on a highly modified gx200.

another idea i thought of is building a supercharger out of the compressor side of the turbo, that way i can run my t25 that i all ready have. would be like a centrifugal supercharger

that means making gears, seals and getting the compressor wheel to spin more then 100k rpms which will cost $$$$ best chan is finding a turbo off a smart car or a gt12 on ebay

pit bikes arent crap. someone in my neighborhood rides around probably 50mph going all day long. nice sounding motor.

you might have a hard time making a frame better than a honda pit bike or something, but better than a copy.

you should make it real solid.
