try to do a donut in the mudd,,, kills the engine!!!

I have a Honda gx270,9hp on one of my carts,, the engine runs strong until u try to do sum donuts in the mud , then it dies,, it will start back up on first pull every time and spin the tires to get out the mudd, , does this every time!!! Any ideas as to what may be the problem??

Do you have a oil sensor on it? If so unhook it.. when you turn sharp it causes the oil to slosh to one side and it triggers the sensor which in turn kills the motor.

Had just done an engine swapp,, my son is gonna love it now,, new it had to be something simple,, I checked the oil,, thinking maybe it was low ( causing my problem) but when it was full I was getting frustrated,,, then I saw u r response!!! Been slinging Mudd all over the place since then!!!! Bahahaaha...thanks again !!!

Yup.. I unhook mine before i even get it going for break in.. I know its just going to be a pain and eventually kill the fun.

My son rode all day yesterday with no problems,, then when it's close to time to put the karts up,, the one with the Honda gx270 won't run unless the choke is at least 3/4 of the way closed....cleaned the carb and it still does the same thing ...any ideas??

Unless you have an air leak.....(spray carb cleaner around the outside gasket surfaces....if it speeds up....you do....).....then you have a fuel delivery issue....

Could be a bad float.....or float adjustment.....or sorry to say....a dirty carb.....(I put clothes in the washer.....doesn't always mean they come out totally clean....)

OK ,, went through carb again,, found something in the main valve,, running like a top now,,, gy6 engine on the other kart has now lost all power,, was running and just cut off and now no power anywhere light everything doesn't work!!!
