Trimming throttle tube

What’s the best way to trim the throttle casing back without damaging the cable? I need to resize my throttle cable with the kit that I bought. I figured I would try stripping it back before I bought another one.

Remove the cable from the sleeve, then cut.

I use a Dremel with a cut-off wheel. Better than anything else, or trying to use wire cutters or such like.

It's all good.

Lube the cable and/or inside the sleeve when you're done man, with household or 3-In-One oil, or anything more substantial than WD-40.

I typically grease the cable with a white bearing grease... I find this helps to keep the moisture/water out the best...
