Just a thought, what if someoe OTHER than me, could get an electric trimmer and and put the motor on the back wheel, and the throttle either on the handle bar, or on a fix-mounted plate at the foot rest.

Of course someone OTHER than me would have to disconnect the peddles..... It might be painful if someone OTHER than me didn't......

Just a thought.... ... ... someone OTHER than me wonders.......

Critic it in the comments and say how horrible the idea is and how there's not enough power.. bla bla bla....

Okay.. electric trimmers can be both battery driven and wall outlet..
the latter doesn't make much sense for a bike, right...
since it'd be terribly hard to find a AC controller and powersource for it that's portable.

So let's just stick with battery driven trimmers.

Then it's important to know the powerout of the motor;

if you can trim 30min straight with the small 1800mAh battery it comes with, then you can almost be 100% sure it does not provide enough power to propell a bike at a decent speed.
(to know for sure... we need to know some numbers ;))

but since I've seen full sized bicycles being propelled by an electric drill and a friction roller...
I think a trimmer may work at least as well as that drill.

let's see ;)

i doubt a trimmer has enough torque for a go kart but i know heavy duty drill motors will work, you may need 2 to really get going but 1 will work too possibly

Doesn't sound like it from what you said in your first post

Whatever you guys...... ya'll really need to stop..... just stop........ I didn't join just to be laughed at and called a liar. I'm 13 years old and have dreams. You don't have to destroy all of the them... you COULD be kind and helpful, unlike the majority of the comments on here.... I'm someone who is willing to make mistakes (though, not in speling)... and fix them accordingly......
I don't want to get step-by-step instructions that will definitely work.... what's the fun in that....? It's called trial and error..... using your imagination.... ... ...

I once built a wooden gokart from scrap from a dumpster, and a 400cc single motorcycle motor.. and for brakes, I jammed a 2x4 between the wheels. oh and the wheels where bicycle wheels..

It's all become clear now.......didn't realize "Mr." Builder 99....was only 13...

What you seem to be missing is the fact that 99% of this forum has been 13 already. .......and these "revolutionary"....."new and fresh"....or whatever ideas....occurred to most of us long ago. ....and were tried and failed...

There's an old saying: "Experience is the best teacher. ..but only a fool will learn by no other. ....." which means. ....you should utilize the knowledge of those that have come before. ....

Been said before. .... (kinda).....feel free to question anything. ...but ....dadgummit....accept the answers that don't fit your paticular hypothesis. .like a man......GOT IT??????
