Bought this on Amazon, can't install the steering column or shock absorber. Ive been building, racing, etc for the last 70 years
Sellers say im.the first to ever complain about it
Amazon denied my A-Z guarantee claim. 1st time I've ever filed a claim. Ive been a prime member since day 1.

Awesome! I made a thread on these and other Chinese karts that are the closest to our forum mascot up there at the top.
We'd love to learn more about it and assist if possible. Can you take some photos, upload them to the site in a reply and show us the issues?

I understand this kart style is based on the now-ancient (in dog years) Go-Ped Trail Ripper Quad.

Shock does not compress. Only way to mount top bolt was to remove spindle.
Forced spindle back on and it was fully binding and not moving.
All I hear from mfg is oh, 1st time we hear of problem or flatout deny their is a problem

Chinese quality at its finest. Sounds like you are in charge of your own fixes. That sucks. Can you take the shock apart to figure out where it is binding?

You can click the main header "Go Kart Discussion" and scroll to see the different posts, but I will link it here. The thread is nothing special, just an ongoing information dump. These China karts are the closest thing to the classic go karts from the late 1950s and onward.

Shocks aren't binding. Spindle tweaked when you try to put it back on. I had to stand both feet just to compress shock a little to get to start nut on spindle

That is a wild spindle arrangement--it is supported by ball and socket heim joints (tie rod ends) and has no rigid bracket... that's sick, man, and not in a good way.

I wonder if there's an assembly video for these Chinese karts that might shed more light on the matter.
I would explore all avenues before breaking out the sledgehammer…
