Hello, I picked up this kart yesterday from a guy that said it was a Margay kart. But after searching the kart, I have found no sort of iditification other than on the spindle arms it say Trick. The cart has been repainted so I don't know if maybe something's been painted over? I looked up Trick Olympic carts but I'm new the these karts. Thanks in advance

Looks like a job for getting down on your hands and knees with a bright light and a magnifying lens and seeking out serial numbers or other marks that may be hidden by dirt, grime or layers of paint.

That steering wheel is huge--makes the kart look cartoonish. :D

I took the motor off today and stripped everything Down and still can't find anything, it's bugging me cause I've looked at 100's of frame I feel like trying to identify it. It's missing a good bit of bolts and nerf bars and rear bumper and I wanna get the right parts. The steering wheel is a lot larger in person ;) gonna try to scrap it for a different one

Thanks Joe but not quite a cigar yet lol those are a bit diffrent, on the right side of the kart the frame has 2 rails that run from the motor mount to the front bumper with 2 cross bars, and the back has a frame peice spot that if im correct would be the spot for a rear torsion bar, let me post some pics without the motor

I scoured Google as well... nothin'! :/ it looks more like a margay to me but none have that bar on the right that snakes to the front right like yours does. Hopefully someone figures it out cause now it's bothering me..

Let me ask a dumb question for all involved: do these kart frames come in different sizes for different folks (youth and adult) or are they one-size-fits-all and only the pedals and seat-to-steering-wheel distances are altered for different size riders? I mean this as more or less the same size--I know there's manufacturer differences and application differences, but generally speaking here...

The kart looks distorted and impossibly small with that gigantic wheel attached. :D

Those anti-gravity pics aren't helping either. How do you do that?

Yeah I just wanna get the correct nerf bars and bumpers lol, im not sure which brand it is but they both make sizes for youth and adult, it is deffenitly a adult kart, im 6'3 and fit pefect, my GF is 5'6 and cant reach the pedals lol, the seat has no adjustment for it but the pedals can be brought forward with adjusting the pedal rods

After calling the guy i got it from and he called the guy he got it from (bull crap process) only info i got that could help is he said it use to be a left turn Kart, but im not sure about that

As far as the steering wheel it is large and really high up when siting in the kart, it has a 2 bolt steering block that has broke in half and the bottom hole isnt bolted down and off track, but i have another one coming, hopfully helps the pitch, but i might end up getting a shorter steering rod and smaller steering wheel

Lol, sellers always claim "It's a Margay" when they don't know for sure.

[After calling the guy i got it from and he called the guy he got it from (bull crap process) only info i got that could help is he said it use to be a left turn Kart, but im not sure about that

He's right, that is an LTO/Offset Chassis kart made for left-turn oval racing; because your left axle bearing is located quite a bit further inboard, compared to the right side axle bearing.

Another common trait of an offset chassis is the rear steering column support bars being offset to the left like yours is, instead of being more centered in the frame like most Strait-rail Sprintkarts are.

I'm not sure what brand your kart is, but the guys at the https://karting.4cycle.com/ forum could probably I.D. it for ya, if you post another thread with pics in their general discussion section.

But if you cant find the correct nerf's & bumper:
You'll find a good universal fit rear bumper on the page at this link:
http://out2win.com/catalog/nerfs.html

And then have a metal fabricator build a pair of black painted nerfs, or its usually pretty easy to just mod some (black-painted/oval kart style) nerf bars from another brand to fit your frame

Thanks for the response, it is a offset chassis and ive found most of the parts i needed. I still need to get rear bumper and nerfs, but ive found that Coyote nerfs look like there gonna fit. **** it might even be a coyote kart! They have posted where the model would be if it was there kart but its not there.... so idk but the nerf bars i need are gonna be like these. They have a tube end and a flat bolt mounting on the other. And the rear bumper gonna be like the other picture because as it is now , the kart has just a large bolt sticking out of the rear frame.

Yep, post it in the photo and build log section.

Don't buy chrome nerfs unless you confirm they'll perfectly fit, even slight bending will cause the chrome to flake off... Nice thing about black painted nerfs is you can bend, extend/mod them anyway needed, then repaint. If they had tubular mounting ends at the front, you could flatten those ends in a vice, then drill holes to bolt onto your frames mounts.

Make sure you measure the (center to center) distance between your bumper mounting bolts, then check with the seller to confirm that bumper will fit. There's no standard frame rail width between different brands of racekarts... That universal bumper I suggested will fit most any brand and doesn't require any welding, after installation you just drill a couple holes to instal 5/16" bolts to secure it all together. I installed that bumper on my offset kart, it held up really well to multiple crashes at my racetrack. My kart origanaly had a bumper exactly like the coyote bumper pic you posted, but it just kept bending the mounting bolts upward every time someone barely crashed into me. You can see pics of how these univercal bumpers look on my old karts thread I'd posted at this link: http://www.diygokarts.com/vb/showthread.php?t=6364
