Transplanting a charging coil from EX21 to Pred212

So I recently obtained a gokart and it came with an EX21 Robin/Subaru engine that looks like it has charging coils. I have not taken it apart yet but some googling shows that the 212 may already have mounting points for the coils... that is a project for sometime this week.

My question is that I want to add a battery to it which from my search means I need a rectifier of some sort. I am not very well versed on which one I should get or how to wire it up, so I am hoping someone can shed some light or point me to a post that will help with the the transplant.

Charging coils are different

You would need a flywheel for a predator that has magnets for said coil

Problem is they do not make one for the predator, and the taper on the crank is different then Honda and clones. Maybe you could swap the crank also, but I dont think that is worth it.

This has been discussed here many times.

I would return the predator and buy an electric start honda clone with the coil ready to go.

Hmm, i guess I thought the flywheel would just swap over to the Pred212 crank...
This is a predator I had laying around for quite some time (has stage 1 upgrade) so I was just a free swap onto the new kart, just was hoping the charging coil would be a nice bonus to have. I'd rather have the Pred212 on the kart than charging to be honest.
