So I am thinking of buying a wrecked vehicle to use as a transplant vehicle for my mini buggy. I was originally thinking of a 600cc street bike for motor and Trans. Now I'm thinking of buying a sport atv maybe a 250 or 300cc. Could I transplant more parts from an atv than a street bike or a out the same. Mostly I'm thinking brakes. Any input would be great. This is my first build and I thought a big motor would be fun but what's the point if I can't leave 2nd gear.

Just think... Maybe the front end if a quad, possibly steering components.

Quad = reverse!

As far as the rest goes, bike parts pretty much equal quad parts in terms of useability (like brakes). If you are capable of using one, you're capable of using the other.

If u want reverse then u need an ag or utility quad

Race quads don't usually have reverse

I'd be going a wreaked street bike for the engine and a blown up or burnt out quad for suspension

That was my first buggy
