Off topic, sry. -But can I get a side pic of your go kart. Also what tire sizes are you using. Rear looks like 22 and front, 20? 21?

I found this trouble shooting page.


There is no IAC i can see. It controls fuel mix based off of the TPS which you found, and a mass air flow sensor.

Being that much dirt is in the throat I bet the MAF is dirty too. Have to use a special cleaner for that. They are sensitive little buggers.

There's not going to be a MAF on something this small. A description of sensors is in that troubleshooting page.

This isn't even speed-density with a MAP sensor; the fueling is only based on the TPS (alpha-N strategy) with trimming based on the O2 sensor feedback. It's about as rudimentary as an EFI system can be. I appreciate most things EFI, but this is probably worse than a carburetor. The good news it is that the hard work of an EFI conversion is mostly done if someone wanted to install a good tunable ECU like a Speeduino NO2C.

ok i got some pictures. The throttle body is extremely dirty so i will start by cleaning that out and see if it helps. The only sensor that appears to be anywhere in the intake is what I assume is a throttle position sensor but correct me if I'm wrong. There is an air adjustment screw that i have messed around with a little but with no change in idle results.

Did you measure the TPS voltage before taking the sensor off? If not, now you have to go through the process of resetting it and doing the ECU relearn (which should probably be done anyway) as described in the troubleshooting link.

ok awesome i will do the ecu relearn first and see what that does i did not measure the voltage beforehand.

What kind of air filter is on that buggy? I hope its not a cone type bug screen.
im real sorry that i somehow must have missed the troubleshooting page you sent ill also go down the list checking grounds and things like that
