Stepping in to ask for some extreme dire help. Was given a trail master xrx with a bad motor. I have purchased a HF predator 212 for it. A friend suggested going with cvt torque converter instead of centrifugal clutch. However, with the plate that came with my kit it won’t fit because of the counter shaft. Without the clutch the shafts are different sizes and lengths. What should I do? Also the bearings are **** in the counter shaft.

Probably many more questions to come so sorry in advance. And yes I did search for a thread about this but got nothing.

You could eliminate the counter shaft mechanism altogether. Then using the plate system, simply line up the sprocket on your axle with the drive sprocket on the plate system and you are ready to go. Chances are you will have to install a larger sprocket on the axle. 10 tooth for the drive, and 60 tooth for the axle is a proven winning combination. Forget about a centrifugal clutch altogether. You'll just burn them up trying to turn big tires.
