I think I get it. So if I understand correctly, the ignition coil will hook up to the second switch, but not to the ignition switch at all? The only wire connected to the ignition switch on that side would be the end of that brown wire?
Personally, if I was locked into using that main switch I would use a relay to control the ignition coil instead of a second switch.
That is, unless you wanted the second switch as an anti-theft device.

This is how I would wire in your style main switch. A 5 pin relay is N/C between the #30 + 87A terms and that circuit opens when power and ground is applied between #85 + #86 terms. So in this case the coil would be grounded until the relay saw key on power, at which the circuit would go to open. Make sure the "ignition" term keeps 12V+ power when cranking.

Thanks a lot guys. This has been very helpful. Going to get the relay and hook it up. we got a lot of snow so I’m limited on garage time in the winter, but excited for some warmer weather to keep working on the project. I’ll give updates soon.

At the time I posted this, I had no idea how a relay worked. i am now completing all the electrical on the cart and I am still wowed at how you figured this out. I even managed to use two relays to turn my running light off while my flasher halo is blinking and yet I still am blown away by this. But being able to use my key switch to control accessory power is way better than having another switch so thanks again!
