Hey fellas, thanks for allowing me to post on your board!

Anyway, I've been given the opportunity to trade something of (~$3000) value to me for a CRG 125cc Race Shifter kart. It runs perfectly, but I don't know anything about gokarts, and I was hoping you guys could help estimate the value of what I'm getting?

Here are the details that were given to me -
- Carbon Tech carbon fiber reed cage and an oval slide Kehien Carb installed
- upgraded 4 piston rear caliper set up on the rear disc brakes
- extra seat and silencer, gearing, misc. Hardware
- 8-10 hours of ride time

Here's a picture

I'd love to hear your opinions on this. If anyone could put even a ROUGH price tag on it, let me know. I just want to make sure I'm getting my money's worth!

Also, if this is in the wrong section I'm terribly sorry.

The cart you linked on ebay isn't a shifter kart, does that make a difference?

It's a 2005

Yours seems to be in really nice shape so it could be worth more than the average 2005. I've noticed most all used race kart prices seem to really start dropping off fast after they hit about 4 years old.
Check out some of these shifter ads: http://www.google.com/search?source...US221US222&q=for+sale+CRG+125cc++Shifter+kart

What are you thinking about trading for it?

ps:
Guys usually start out racing the slower classes and then gradually work their way up to shifters after they have a lot more seat time. I don't know how fast the guys on your local tracks are but If you haven't raced karts before your probability going to have a pretty tough time keeping up for the first few seasons if you start out racing a shifter.

if you have the extra 3g's worth of stuff..go for it if you want
personally i wouldnt, i see shifter carts on craigslist all day long for 1000-1800
also, if your a total newbie might want to pass it up seeing thats a high performance race ready cart. get something you can have fun with first and beat up..until your ready

just my two cents

Nice kart.I'm gonna say 3-4 g's tops.I used to race karts.I had a CRG sprint kart i ran in the HPV-100 Lite series a few years back.At that time (04') a good used 125 shifter went for about 4 g's.
