So, I'm currently building a yerf dog 3200 and I've arrived to the part where I need to get a torque converter for my predator 212. I'm planning to in the near future remove the governor, but the torque converter I'm planning on purchasing says its only rated for max 8HP. I've watched a few dyno videos of a predator 212 post governor delete, and the HP is increased to about 8.5-9.5ish HP. Will the torque converter be able to hold up after extensive use of an engine that is pushing above the recommended amount or should I get another torque converter. (The one I'm planning on buying is the Comet 30 series)

I have 4 of them, none of the engines are stock. Weakest is probably 10 + hp. Strongest is 16 to 18 hp. Cheapo Chinese 30 series torque converter on all.
Just make sure to do like Denny says. After the original belt that comes with it breaks, spend the money for a genuine Comet brand. Chances are you will never need another.
